# Create a Google Analytics Audience

To segment your Marketing Cloud Engagement contacts based on dimensions, metrics, and events, create an audience in Google Analytics.

1. Link Marketing Cloud Engagement to your Google Analytics account. See [Link Google Analytics and Marketing Cloud Engagement Accounts](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=mktg.mc_gai_link_to_google360.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Connect your Marketing Cloud Engagement account to Google Analytics. Google’s native authentication process creates a secure connection between your accounts and sets view permissions for your reports. If you have multiple Engagement instances under the same EID, the Google Analytics accounts that you link are added to those instances also.").
2. Create a Google Analytics 4 (GA4) audience. See _Google Analytics Help_: [Create, edit, and archive audiences](https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/9267572#create-an-audience).
