# Update Your Mailing Address

Your mailing address is the address where your organization accepts postal mail. Where required by law, your emails must contain your mailing address. Before Marketing Cloud Engagement sends an email, it can validate that the mailing address is included. This step ensures compliance with commercial email laws such as CAN-SPAM.

Note To manage your mailing address in your email sends, in Setup, go to **Email** | **Feature Settings** | **Email Studio** | **Optional Features**.

1. From Marketing Cloud Engagement Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter account, and then click **Account Settings**.
2. Click **Edit**.
3. Under Company Information, update your address.
4. Save your changes.
