# Create a Sendable Data Extension for Transactional Reconciliation

Create a sendable data extension that uses the Sendable\_Reconcilable\_Data\_Extension template to use Transactional Reconciliation.

Follow these steps to create a reconciliation-ready data extension:

1. In Email Studio, go to **Subscribers** > **Data Extensions**.
2. Select **Create**.
3. Select **Standard Data Extension**.
4. Select **Create from Template**.
5. Select **Sendable\_Reconcilable\_Data\_Extension** and click **OK**.
6. Click **Next**.
7. Review the retention policy and click **Next**.
8. Verify that **SubscriberKey** and **MessageKey** appear as required fields.
    
    Although this field appears required in the UI, the system generates a key at send time if you leave it blank.
9. Add any additional fields needed for your data model.
10. Click **Create**.
