# Register Component with Distributed Marketing

After building the external integration component for the new interaction tab, register your component with Distributed Marketing. This registration allows Distributed Marketing to render your custom interaction within the personalization modal. Insert a mcdm\_15\_\_JourneyApprovalsPlugin\_\_c record for the external integration component.

1. In Salesforce, navigate to **Developer Console**.
2. Click **Debug**.
3. Click **Open Execute Anonymous Window**.
4. Enter this code in the window, updating c:example with the name of your component.
    
    ```
    mcdm_15__JourneyApprovalsPlugin__c mapping = new 
    mcdm_15__JourneyApprovalsPlugin__c(mcdm_15__Component_Name__c='c:example');
    insert mapping;
    ```
5. Execute the code.
