# Upgrade to the Latest Marketing Cloud Connect Release

To make sure that you have the most recent features and bug fixes before each release, we automatically update the managed package in your production org to the previously released version. In addition, your non-production org is upgraded to the newest version when the managed package is released. This process provides you with a full release cycle to test the new package before we auto-update your production org.

After a major Marketing Cloud Engagement release, your developer, trial, demo, and sandbox orgs are upgraded to the latest version. Use these orgs to test the new version before the update is applied to your production org. The supported Salesforce API version for Marketing Cloud Connect is updated to the next version 2–3 weeks after the Production environment package upgrade. For example, the version supported in Summer ’25 (256) is 63.0.

If you have Salesforce admin permissions, you can manually upgrade the package by completing these steps.

1. Review the latest features and considerations.
2. [Install the managed package in Sales Cloud and Service Cloud](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=mktg.mc_co_install_marketing_cloud_connect.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Install the Marketing Cloud Connect for Marketing Cloud Engagement managed package in your account.").
3. [Make sure that the IP range allowlist has up-to-date information](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=mktg.mc_co_add_ip_addresses_to_allowlist.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "If you didn’t use the Marketing Cloud Connect Setup Wizard, follow these steps to manually add IP addresses to your allowlist. The allowlist identifies them as safe and grants access to trusted networks, allowing Marketing Cloud Connect for Marketing Cloud Engagement to communicate across networks.").

We recommend that you use [tenant-specific endpoints (TSEs)](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=000392227&type=1&language=en_US) for all new managed package and Marketing Cloud Connect integrations. The addresses in this document apply to only existing customers who use legacy connections.
