# Edit Synchronization Settings

Edit synchronization settings in Contact Builder for a previously configured data source. You can filter how often synchronization occurs and filter the record collection. Editing an already synchronized object causes a refresh for that object.

When you modify the poll schedule, the new schedule begins after the next poll request. Changing the record collection filter initiates a refresh of all rows of the synchronized object to ensure only the rows meeting the new criteria synchronize.

1. Click **Data Sources**.
2. Click **Synchronized**.
3. Select a synchronized data source.
4. Select an entity to edit.
5. Click **Edit**.

    Tip If you configure the synchronization to include **All records with** specific values, this synchronized field becomes required. To remove the required field, click **Edit** for Configure Synchronization and change the settings.
6. Select the collection of records to synchronize.
7. Select an interval of time for the poll schedule.
8. Save your changes.
