# Preview Optimal Send Times

Review potential times that Einstein can send messages to the contacts in a data extension. If a data extension has numerous rows, previews are based on sampling data.

In most cases, a data extension preview is built within a few minutes. To estimate how long it takes to build the preview, check the progress indicator.

When the data extension that a preview is based on is deleted, the preview is removed from the list 90 days after the extension is deleted.

1. In Marketing Cloud Engagement, select **Einstein**.
2. Click **Einstein Overview**.
3. Click **Preview**.
4. Select a data extension.
5. Set a sending time frame.
6. Click **Done**.
    
    The preview starts building. You can navigate away while the build is in progress.
7. When the progress indicator shows Complete, click the preview to open the graph.

    After you create a preview of a data extension in Marketing Cloud Engagement, you can refresh it to find out if Einstein’s optimal send times have changed.

    When a preview is no longer useful, you can delete it from Marketing Cloud Engagement. If you delete a data extension that a preview is based on, the preview is available for 90 days after deletion.
