Name Use Business Requirement
Promotion Designer Basic Provides users the required object access to basic Global Promotions Management capabilities, such as context definition, rule library, Quick Promotions guided setup, and pricing rewards Users can create promotions that offer rewards.
Promotion Designer Extension Provides users the required object access to Global Promotions Management’s advanced capabilities, such as pricing promotions, templates, limits, vouchers and games
Data Cloud Segment Access for Promotion Designer

Provides users the required object access to associate a Data Cloud segment with a promotion.

The permission set is only available in orgs where Data Cloud’s Segmentation and Activation add-on license is enabled.

 Users can select Data Cloud segments as the target audience for promotions.
Context Service Runtime Provides users read access for context definitions and read and write access to all the context that’s present in the cache Users can activate promotions that they create by using the Quick Promotion wizard.
