# Add Data to Your Widget

You can add data to your widget by selecting the measurements and dimensions you want to display. This step is mandatory because you can’t save the widget without data.

<table class="slds-table slds-table_bordered slds-max-medium-table_stacked slds-m-bottom_small ">
        <colgroup>
          <col style="width:50%">
          <col style="width:50%">
        </colgroup>
        <thead class="slds-text-title_caps ">
          <tr class="">
            <th scope="colgroup" class="slds-cell-wrap" colspan="2" style="vertical-align:top;" id="d21677e38">REQUIRED USER ROLE</th>
          </tr>
        </thead>
        <tbody>
          <tr class="">
            <td data-label="REQUIRED USER ROLE" class="slds-cell-wrap" style="vertical-align:top;" headers="d21677e38 ">To add data to your widget </td>

            <td class="slds-cell-wrap" style="vertical-align:top;" headers="d21677e38 ">Admin and Power User</td>

          </tr>
        </tbody>
      </table>

These icons help you recognize the difference between measurements and dimensions:

1. Go to the widget you’re adding data to. Make sure that you’re in edit mode.
2. Select the **Data** tab.
3. Click the plus sign (**+** Add Field).

    By default, Marketing Cloud Intelligence enables the Suggested quick filter and suggests fields based on the fields you have in other widgets on the page. You can use these suggestions or select your own measurements or dimensions.
4. Select the measurements and dimensions you want to display in your widget. Your data is added automatically to the widget, and it updates in real time.
5. To add calculated fields, including calculated dimensions, calculated measurements, and filtered measurements, click **Add Calculated Fields**.
6. After you’re done adding data, save your widget.

Now you can add filters and design your widget.
