# Create a Widget

You can create a widget from the Visualize tab.

<table class="slds-table slds-table_bordered slds-max-medium-table_stacked slds-m-bottom_small ">
        <colgroup>
          <col style="width:50%">
          <col style="width:50%">
        </colgroup>
        <thead class="slds-text-title_caps ">
          <tr class="">
            <th scope="colgroup" class="slds-cell-wrap" colspan="2" style="vertical-align:top;" id="d21914e38">REQUIRED USER ROLE</th>
          </tr>
        </thead>
        <tbody>
          <tr class="">
            <td data-label="REQUIRED USER ROLE" class="slds-cell-wrap" style="vertical-align:top;" headers="d21914e38 ">To create a widget </td>

            <td class="slds-cell-wrap" style="vertical-align:top;" headers="d21914e38 ">Admin and Power User</td>

          </tr>
        </tbody>
      </table>

1. Go to the **Visualize** tab.
2. Select a page.
3. To enter edit mode, click the pencil icon.
4. To add a widget, click the **+** sign.
5. From the left-hand side of the page, select the type of widget you want to create. All widget types are divided into categories. You can either search through the category or use the **Search** option to search for a specific widget.
6. To view the full list of widget types, click **More Types**. After you select a widget type, add a name. Name your widget so you can use other features in Marketing Cloud Intelligence later. If you want to use filters, make sure that you use the same names.
7. To show or hide the widget title, click the eye icon next to the widget name. After you select a widget, you can start configuring it.

- **[Add Data to Your Widget](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=mktg.dato_visualize_widgets_create_add_data.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
    You can add data to your widget by selecting the measurements and dimensions you want to display. This step is mandatory because you can’t save the widget without data.
- **[Add a Filter to a Widget](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=mktg.dato_visualize_widgets_create_filter.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
    Narrow what a widget shows by adding a filter, for example, limiting results to a particular campaign.
- **[Design Your Widget](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=mktg.dato_visualize_widgets_design.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
    The Design tab provides capabilities to further tailor the appearance of specific widgets on your page. You can make the widget stand out more by modifying the background and changing fonts. Widget design is based on your pre-determined page theme, so your page’s design is always cohesive and put together.
