# Customize Dashboard Pages

After you create a dashboard page, you can customize it to meet your needs via Edit Mode.

<table class="slds-table slds-table_bordered slds-max-medium-table_stacked slds-m-bottom_small ">
        <colgroup>
          <col style="width:50%">
          <col style="width:50%">
        </colgroup>
        <thead class="slds-text-title_caps ">
          <tr class="">
            <th scope="colgroup" class="slds-cell-wrap" colspan="2" style="vertical-align:top;" id="d62134e38">REQUIRED USER ROLE</th>
          </tr>
        </thead>
        <tbody>
          <tr class="">
            <td data-label="REQUIRED USER ROLE" class="slds-cell-wrap" style="vertical-align:top;" headers="d62134e38 ">To customize dashboard pages </td>

            <td class="slds-cell-wrap" style="vertical-align:top;" headers="d62134e38 ">Admin and Power User</td>

          </tr>
        </tbody>
      </table>

When you select the page you’re customizing and click the pencil icon to enter Edit mode, you have these options:![dashboard page options](https://sf-zdocs-cdn-prod.zoominsoftware.com/tdta-mktg-salesforce_datorama-264-0-0-production-enus/d38a342d-dd4a-4af8-8343-f372280a75dd/salesforce_datorama/images/visualize/dato_viz_dashboard_page_custom.png)

1. Name your page so you can find the relevant page in your collection.
2. Set your date range. The date range sets the time range according to the data displayed on the page. The page doesn’t display data that isn’t in its range. Set your date range by clicking the date. You can set a predefined date range from the list or set a custom date range.
3. Add widgets to the dashboard page by clicking the plus icon.
4. Apply a filter to your page. To define a page-level filter, click the funnel icon. You can also apply filters on the widget level, which filters according to values and dates.
5. Save your changes. To discard the changes, click the **x** button. Unsaved changes aren’t available to other users.
6. Publish your dashboard page. When a dashboard page is unpublished, only you and authorized users can view the dashboard page. Users aren’t able to view unpublished dashboard pages by default. By publishing a dashboard page, you allow all users with access to the collection to view it. You can choose to publish or unpublish your dashboard page by clicking the round icon at the top-left. Unpublished dashboard pages appear with a gray icon, while published dashboard pages appear with a green icon
7. To return to view mode, click the eye icon.
8. To access other options, such as exporting, sharing, or deleting your dashboard page, click the options menu.
