# Date Ranges in Marketing Cloud Intelligence

Use a date range to display specific data. You can set a date range for a pivot table, report, and dashboard. You can select a predefined date range from the date picker, such as Last 30 days or This Month, or you can enter a range. When you set a date range, your data updates according to the dates selected.

When setting a date range, the following rules apply.

- When the date range is a calendar segment (day, week, or month), Marketing Cloud Intelligence uses the beginning of the calendar period and doesn’t count the days back from the current date. For example, if you select **Previous Week** in the date picker, it isn’t counted as today minus seven days. Instead, it goes to the week previous to the current week and starts the range on the first date that the previous week started from.
- The first day of the week is Monday, so Sunday is considered part of the previous week. You can change this preference using the **Custom Calendar** feature.

This table lists the Marketing Cloud Intelligence date range options.
