# Total Rows Transformers in Marketing Cloud Intelligence

Use the total rows transformer when you want to change the default behavior of Marketing Cloud Intelligence to strip out “totals” rows from all files. For example, if a file has non-additive measurements, and you want only the totals row mapped, use this transformer.

### Required Editions

1. From the **Connect & Mix** tab, select **Data Streams**, and then **Data Streams List**.
2. Create a data stream, or edit an existing one.
3. In the **Preview Source** screen, click **Edit Transformers**. File transformers are added by default.
4. In the **Transformers in Use** section, next to the **Total Rows** transformer, click **Edit**.
5. If you don’t want to upload the total rows from the file to the platform, select the **Remove Total Rows** checkbox. This option is selected by default because total rows usually cause the file process to fail.
6. Click **Done**.
