# Marketing Cloud (Granular) API Connector

The Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform delivers relevant, personalized journeys across channels and devices, enabling marketers to deliver the right message at the right time throughout all phases of the relationship. The Marketing Cloud Granular (Standard) connector enables you to pull in all data from Email Studio, Mobile Studio, and Journey Builder into a Granular Data Center.

- Channel: Display
- Data Stream Type: Granular Data Center
- Data Lagging: 1 Day

## Prerequisites

This API connector supports: Enterprise 1.0 Enterprise 2.0 Core or Connect.

You must ensure that the credentials you’re using have access to the parent member, otherwise the authentication will fail.

To connect to the Salesforce Marketing Cloud API, you need a valid username and password with API access, Enterprise-level access, and must also be an Admin and Marketing Cloud Admin.

Complete the following steps to enable Marketing Cloud Intelligence Integration:

- Log in to your Salesforce Marketing Cloud account and click your username on the top right of the screen.
- Under **Settings**, select **Setup**.
- Expand **Users**.
- Click **Roles**.
- Select the role you want to update permissions for. Remember, that user must be an Admin and Marketing Cloud Admin.
- Scroll down and click the + icon to expand Intelligence.
- Under **Enable Intelligence Integration**, select the **Allow** checkbox.

If you want to access Journey Builder, MobileConnect and/or MobilePush data make sure you have API access to the relevant features as well. Contact your Marketing Cloud representative if you don’t have access, or if you encounter any issues.

## General Setup

After entering your credentials, select the following options:

- **Account** - Select the relevant account that you want to retrieve data for.
- **Source** - Select the sources you want to pull data for. You can select multiple sources to pull, and a data stream is created for each of them.
- **SubProfile** - It’s mandatory to select a SubProfile for Mobile and/or Push source types. Email source types don’t require a SubProfile and if one is selected, it is ignored and all sub profiles for the account will be pulled.

An error message appears when a SubProfile is required and hasn’t been selected.

## QA Your Data

- Create the desired report in the Marketing Cloud platform for the required date range.
- Next, process the relevant Data Stream in Marketing Cloud Intelligence for the same date range.
- Create a Report/Table Widget/Pivot Table within Marketing Cloud Intelligence containing the exact same Dimensions and Measurements for the same report and date range.
- Compare the Measurement Totals and make sure they’re aligned.
