# AWIN API Connector

AWIN is a global affiliate marketing network that delivers marketing solutions for advertisers, agencies, and publishers around the world.

## Prerequisites

- To connect to AWIN, you need a valid AWIN username and API Key. To retrieve your API Key:
    - Visit [https://ui.awin.com/awin-api](https://ui.awin.com/awin-api) or click the API credentials link in your user menu.
    - On the following page, enter the password you use to log into AWIN.
    - Click **Show my API token** to create and display your personal token, which is easily copied to the clipboard.

## Details

With the AWIN connector you can pull one of these reports:

Select the requested report in the **Report Type** dropdown.

- Creative Report
- Transaction Reporting Date Type
- Validation Reporting Date Type
- Publishers Performance Report

## General Setup

After entering your credentials, select the relevant Account and Advertisers you want to retrieve data for. Leave the Advertisers field empty if you want to pull data for all advertisers.

## Extended Properties

- TimeZone - Select the time zone that matches your AWIN account settings.
- Region - Select the region that matches your AWIN account settings.
- Reporting Date Type- Select the date type you want to pull data for. There are two date types that you can choose from:
    - Transaction - This is the default date type, and is based on the date on which the transactions took place.
    - Validation - This is based on the date on which the commission payment was validated.

## QA Your Data

- Create the desired report in the AWIN platform for the required date range. Next, process the relevant Data Stream in Marketing Cloud Intelligence for the same date range.
- Create a Report/Table Widget/Pivot Table within Intelligence containing the exact same Dimensions and Measurements for the same report and date range.
- Compare the Measurement Totals and make sure they’re aligned.
