# Apply Changes to Data Streams

You have multiple options to make changes to the data that’s pulled into your data stream. Choose the option that fits your use case the best.

- **[Update Data Manually](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=mktg.dato_data_manage_changes_manually.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**  
    You can edit raw measurement data for specific data in a data stream. Dimension data can’t be edited and remains as is. Also, dimension values appear as they do in the raw data. If you made changes in the Dimension Explorer, you don’t see those changes here.
- **[Re-run and Recreate Data Streams](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=mktg.dato_data_manage_changes_re.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**  
    When you make changes to data streams, for the changes to take effect, sometimes you must rerun some of your data or recreate your data stream. Other times, such as when the changes only apply to data going forward, all it takes is saving the data stream.
