# Classification Data Stream Type

Classification data streams are used to apply a classification logic that exists in a secondary data source to your primary data.

A classification is used to group your data. Classifications can be created with calculated measurements, and classification rules. With classification data streams you can filter and analyze your primary data using the classification and apply classification to multiple entities at once. Read about different ways to use the classification data stream type.
