# Best Practices for Creating EMI Bots

Here are some best practices to consider when creating and using EMI bots.

- Filter to a scope that you can easily control and monitor. Consider filtering your bots to a single campaign. For example, the Budget measurement moves relatively easily within a single campaign, but not so easily between more than one campaign.
- Select dimensions that you can easily target or that are practical such as age, gender, or demographic.
- Have at least two full quarters of historical data in your workspace for WoW, MoM, and Quarter-over-Quarter analysis. EMI bots can process your custom date ranges if data is available.
- EMI insights are a starting point . If you see something interesting, investigate it to discover more insights.
