You can add business accounts in the org as your program advocates. Here are some of the key fields:

- Member Type—Select Business Accounts because referral program members are business partners of your company.
- Account—Select the account who you want to onboard as an advocate.
- Membership Number—Enter a value that uniquely identifies each advocate.
- Enrollment Date—Select the date when you onboarded the contact as an advocate.
- Active—Select the checkbox to indicate that the contact is active and can be sent referral promotions.
- Referral Code—Enter a unique referral code for the advocate. If you don’t provide a referral code, a code is automatically generated.

Referral code is the code that the referred parties use to sign up with the brand. And the referral code ties a referral back to the advocate.

Add one advocate at a time:

1. On the referral program, click **Advocates**.
2. On the Advocates related list, click **New**.
3. Enter the details of the advocate.
4. Save your changes.
