# Filter Relevant Tactics

Update the Customer Anchor query definition's default value so the Link Tactics page in Claims shows only tactics relevant to the promotion, instead of tactics from every customer in the sales org.

### Required Editions

<table class="slds-table slds-table_bordered slds-max-medium-table_stacked slds-m-bottom_small edition">
        <colgroup>
          <col>
        </colgroup>
        <tbody>
          <tr class="">
            <td class="slds-cell-wrap" style="vertical-align:top;">
              <p>Available in: Lightning Experience</p>
              <p style="margin-bottom:0;">Available in: <strong>Enterprise</strong> and <strong>Unlimited</strong> Editions where Consumer Goods
                Cloud is enabled</p>
            </td>

          </tr>
        </tbody>
      </table> <table class="slds-table slds-table_bordered slds-max-medium-table_stacked slds-m-bottom_small permission">
        <colgroup>
          <col style="width:50%">
          <col style="width:50%">
        </colgroup>
        <thead class="slds-text-title_caps ">
          <tr class="">
            <th scope="colgroup" class="slds-cell-wrap" colspan="2" style="text-align:center;vertical-align:top;" id="d59988e66">User Permissions
              Needed</th>
          </tr>
        </thead>
        <tbody>
          <tr class="">
            <td data-label="User Permissions Needed" class="slds-cell-wrap" style="vertical-align:top;" headers="d59988e66 ">To update a query definition in custom metadata:</td>

            <td class="slds-cell-wrap" style="vertical-align:top;" headers="d59988e66 ">CG Cloud System Admin</td>

          </tr>
        </tbody>
      </table>

If you don't select a customer on the Link Tactics page in Claims, the system incorrectly shows tactics from all customers in a Sales organization instead of showing only the tactics that are relevant to the promotion.

To view the relevant tactics, adjust your custom metadata configuration.

1. In Setup, find and select **Custom Metadata Types**.
2. Next to Query Definitions, click **Manage Records**.
3. Select **Filtered Tactic Selection Query**.
4. Go to Query UIs Related List and select **Customer Anchor**.
5. In the Customer Anchor record, update these settings:
    1. Set UI Default Value to **ALL**.
    2. Leave Controls Inclusion/Exclusion empty.
6. Save your changes.

Now, when you link tactics to claims, you see only the tactics related to your promotion even if you haven't selected a customer.
