# When the Available Resource Count Is Null

A null count means that the availability step didn't run or didn't write back to the requirement record.

Check these settings:

- Confirm that the Update Workforce Availability flow is active and has the correct Apex action configured to update the available count on the resource callout requirement records.
- Confirm that the IsRequirementGenerated flag is set to true on the resource callout record. This flag is the hand-off signal that requirement records are ready for the availability flow.
