  • Enable Field Service
Create and schedule service resources during an incident by turning on Field Service. Emergency Management relies on Field Service scheduling to check workforce availability and rank resources for a callout.
  • Assign Permission Sets to Admins
Assign these permission sets to the admin user to work with the emergency management, so that they configure the callout process.
  • Assign Permission Sets to Technicians
Assign these permission sets to the technician users to work with the emergency management, so that they respond to callouts from the Salesforce Field Service mobile app.
  • Create a Dispatcher Profile and User
Create a dedicated dispatcher profile and user so that dispatchers can run the callout process. This task is required when you want a separate user to initiate and manage emergency callouts.
  • Set Up the Create Call Out Screen Flow
Help dispatchers mobilize crews with a single click by adding the Create Call Out screen flow to the resource callout list view. This flow guides dispatchers through creating a resource callout for an emergency, outage, or incident.
  • Install the Field Service Managed Package
Download the latest version of the Field Service managed package and install them. The Field Service managed package is required for using the Field Service APIs.
  • Install the Salesforce Field Service App Package
Download the latest version of the Field Service app package and install them. The Field Service app package is required for using the Field Service mobile apps.
  • Create and Wire Apex Classes into the Template Flows
Salesforce ships the emergency management automation with draft template flows. The Apex that performs the Field Service backed availability, roster, and ranking work isn't delivered to your org. Author three Apex classes, add them to the template flows as Apex actions, and then clone and activate the flows.
