# Integrate Agent Console with an External Billing System

Connect Agent Console to your external billing system so that agents can view payment details, bills, and usage metrics stored in that system. Agent Console actions such as Start Service, Stop Service, and Transfer Service require this integration.

1. Host an API suite for your billing system in any third-party system.

If you use MuleSoft, see [Set Up MuleSoft for Integration](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=ind.consumption_framework_mulesoft_integration.htm&type=5&language=en_US).
2. Create a named credential that stores the connection details of your external billing system.

To create the named credential with an API, see [Tooling API Developer Guide: NamedCredential](https://developer.salesforce.com/docs/atlas.en-us.api_tooling.meta/api_tooling/tooling_api_objects_namedcredential.htm) or [Metadata API Developer Guide: NamedCredential](https://developer.salesforce.com/docs/atlas.en-us.api_meta.meta/api_meta/meta_namedcredential.htm).
3. Create an Apex-defined integration definition, and select the **eucommon.EUIntegrationHandler** Apex class.

For the steps to create an integration definition, see [Create an Integration Definition](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=ind.consumption_framework_integration_definitions.htm&type=5&language=en_US).
4. Replace the default named credential, **EU\_Named\_Credential**, with the named credential that you created.
