# Configure Business Rules Engine Objects for Application Approval Template

Business Rules Engine objects automate the approval process workflow by passing program information to decision makers to approve or reject a request.

In the application approval process template, use a sample decision matrix and expression set to automatically approve or reject applications based on their estimated incentive value, and also to create the right action plan for approved applications. The sample decision matrix, Utilities Application Approval DM stores the estimated incentive value and action plan templates associated with each program. The sample expression set Utilities Application Approval Rule sets the Approval\_Decision variable and Action Plan Template name based on the incentive value of the program.

Configure the business rules components as needed to meet your business requirements.
