# Define and Assign New Attributes

Define new attributes and assign them to classifications.

1. Define new attributes.
    1. From the App Launcher, go to **Attribute Definitions**.
    2. Select **New**.
    3. Complete all required fields and save your changes.
2. Assign new attributes to classifications.
    1. From the App Launcher, go to **Product Classifications**.
    2. Open the relevant product classification.
    3. Select **Attribute**.
    4. Select **Assign**.
    5. Select the option to assign individual attributes and then select **Next**.
    6. Select **Uncategorized**.
    7. Select the checkbox for the newly created attribute.
    8. Select **Assign**.
