Customize Site Upload in Bulk

Select to use only one upload method, define mandatory columns for the uploaded CSV files, set opportunity product recipient fields for mapping, and exclude the manual site creation process.

Choose a Single Upload Method

Configure the user interface to allow only one method for uploading sites, such as strictly manual entry or bulk upload.

Required Editions

Available in: Enterprise, Unlimited, and Developer Editions
User Permissions Needed
To create user profiles and users: Energy & Utilities Cloud Features
  1. Open the managed-installed version of the Upload Sites in Bulk flow.
  2. Delete the Check Site Creation Method element.
  3. Choose the site creation method you want to retain and modify the flow accordingly.
  4. Delete the Select Site Creation Method screen.
  5. Save and activate the new flow.

Customize Required CSV Columns

Define which custom columns are mandatory in the uploaded CSV file so that they appear with a red asterisk on the mapping screen.

To create user profiles and users: Energy & Utilities Cloud Features
  1. Open the managed-installed version of the Upload Sites in Bulk flow.
  2. Edit the Set UI-Required Fields element.
  3. Add a new assignment field with the following values:
    1. Variable: UIRequiredFields
    2. Operator: Add
    3. Value: The name of your custom CSV column header.
  4. Save your changes and activate the flow.

Set Opportunity Product Recipient Fields for Mapping

Ensure specific custom columns are mandatory during the mapping process, preventing users from proceeding without mapping them.

User Permissions Needed
To create user profiles and users: Energy & Utilities Cloud Features
  1. Open the managed-installed version of the Upload Sites in Bulk flow.
  2. Edit the Set Additional Mandatory Fields element.
  3. Add a new assignment field with the following values:
    • Variable: AdditionalMandatoryFields
    • Operator: Add
    • Value: The API Name of the Opportunity Product Recipient field.
  4. Save your changes and activate the flow.

Set Required Fields for Manual Site Creation

Designate specific fields on the Opportunity Product Recipient entity as mandatory when manually creating sites.

  1. Open the managed-installed version of the Upload Sites in Bulk flow.
  2. Edit the Set Additional Mandatory Fields element.
  3. Add a new assignment field with the following values:
    1. Variable: AdditionalMandatoryFields
    2. Operator: Add
    3. Value: The API Name of the Opportunity Product Recipient field you want to require on the form.
    Note: This is the same flow element that controls the mapping requirements for the CSV mapping screen.
  4. Save your changes and activate the flow.

Exclude Fields from Manual Site Creation

Remove specific custom columns from the manual site creation screen to streamline the user interface.

  1. Open the managed-installed version of the Upload Sites in Bulk flow.
  2. Edit the Set Excluded Fields element.
  3. Add a new assignment field with the following values:
    • Variable: ExcludedFields
    • Operator: Add
    • Value: The name of the CSV column header you want to exclude.
  4. Save your changes and activate the flow.
