On home orgs, you can use select a data source that resides on the home org or on connected companion orgs. Whereas in companion orgs, you select data sources that reside in the companion org.

1. In the Configuration section, select the type of object to use as data source.

The data source options that are available depend on the definition's runtime execution object type:

Important The Salesforce CRM Connector that sends data from the Platform to Data 360 doesn't support a set of standard objects and these unsupported objects can't be used as data source. See the list of unsupported objects in [Object Support for CRM Data Streams](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=data.c360_a_crm_unsupported_objects_types.htm&language=en_US).
2. In the Source Object field, select an object, and then click **Select Fields** to add fields to be used from the source object.

The aliases of the selected fields are automatically filled. The field is then referred to by its alias in the nodes that reference the field.
3. If you selected Salesforce object as the data source, click **Add Related Object** to select a related object and then click **Select Fields** to add its fields as data sources.

The objects listed as related objects have a lookup relationship with the data source object. For related object fields, always specify an alias.

    ![Tip](https://sf-zdocs-cdn-prod.zoominsoftware.com/tdta-ind-data_processing_engine-264-0-0-production-enus/80e06924-e6c0-4b82-81cf-e99ccd77d857/images/icon_tip.png)

Tip An alternative to adding related objects from a data source in a single Data Source node is to create separate Data Source nodes for each related object. After you've created nodes for all the objects, use Join nodes to join their records using lookup ID fields.

If you added one or more fields to the Salesforce object, then make sure to [enable object and field permissions](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=data.c360_a_enable_user_permissions_external_salesforce_org.htm&type=5&language=en_US) for Salesforce CRM in Data 360.
4. Save your node configuration.
