# Monitor Data Processing Engine Definition Runs

Monitor definition runs to review the status of your definition runs. On Monitor Workflow Services, you can analyze key details of definition runs such as count of records processed and written back, analysis of latest and previous runs, and reasons for the failure of the latest runs.

- **[Workflow of Data Processing Engine Definition Runs](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=ind.dpe_monitor_workflow.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
A definition's run consists of different stages. The stages include syncing data sources on the definition's runtime platform, transforming data, and writing back results to target objects. The overall workflow remains the same for definitions on CRM Analytics and Data Cloud. Though there are key differences in the resources used to run definitions of each platform.
- **[Track Data Processing Engine Definition Runs in Monitor Workflow Services](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=ind.dpe_monitor_workflow_tabs.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
On Monitor Workflow Services, each definition run gets a unique Batch Job record. Use the run's batch job to track every aspect of the run while it is in progress and after the run ends. The batch job provides key insights about data transformed during the run, performance, and issues.
- **[Delete Definition Runs](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=ind.dpe_delete_run.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
Delete Data Processing Engine definition runs that are complete, failed, or have been canceled. When you delete a run, its tasks are also deleted.
- **[Find Issues with Data Processing Engine Definition Runs in CRM Analytics (CRMA)](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=ind.dpe_monitor_crma.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
During a definition's run on CRMA, data from the definition's data sources are synced and then a recipe transforms the data in CRMA. When a run fails or the results are incorrect, you can find the reasons behind the issues in CRMA.
