# Cancel a Data Processing Engine Definition Run

You can cancel Data Processing Engine definition runs that are in progress before they start writing back results to the target objects. Cancel runs that have been running for a long time or runs started by mistake.

### Required Editions

1. Click ![Setup icon](https://sf-zdocs-cdn-prod.zoominsoftware.com/tdta-ind-data_processing_engine-264-0-0-production-enus/80e06924-e6c0-4b82-81cf-e99ccd77d857/data_processing_engine/images/setup_icon.png), and select **Setup**.
2. In the Quick Find box, search for and select **Monitor Workflow Services**.
3. Open the run that you want to cancel.
    
    Ensure that you open a run that’s of the type Calc.
4. Click **Cancel Run**.
5. On the confirmation window, click **Cancel Run**.
