# Limitations in Omnistudio Document Generation

Review the limitations found in Omnistudio Document Generation. General limitations, hourly and daily org limits, dynamic image limits, and more are included here.

## General Limitations

- Browser-based previewer
    - To ensure the correct .docx and .pdf files are downloaded, use the download button.
    - PDF preview isn’t available on mobile browsers. Use the Download button to save and open the PDF with your preferred app.
    - For other limitations, see [Content file preview issues](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=000387545&type=1&language=en_US).
    - When you preview a generated document in the browser-based previewer, the title displayed in the preview header defaults to renditionDownload instead of the actual document name. To view the correct file name, download the document.
    - Tracked changes (redlines) may not render correctly in the document preview, such as when you import a document version that contains redlines. Some changes can appear missing or misaligned, although the document content remains intact. To review changes accurately, download the document and open it in Microsoft 365 to view insertions and deletions inline.
- Custom Fonts
    - Each custom font file must be under defined file size limit. 5 MB is the default limit.
    - The total size of the Docgen Custom Fonts Library must not exceed 100 MB.
    - Zip custom font files aren’t supported
- Merge PDF
    - The multiDocxLwc Omniscript successfully creates up to 10 documents and supports a final merged PDF of up to 25 MB.

        ![Note](https://sf-zdocs-cdn-prod.zoominsoftware.com/tdta-ind-document_generation-264-0-0-production-enus/f76d5573-56ce-4576-b4b2-7a4f1f2e622b/images/icon_note.png)

Note If your org has a Public Sector Add-On license, you can merge PDF files up to 300 MB.
- Formatting
    - Italic formatting in formulas changes to normal style.
    - Certain checkboxes display a ? symbol after the checkbox.
    - The square checkbox symbol (□) in Wingdings font converts to a ? in PDFs.
    - Smiley checkbox symbols are replaced with a standard tick symbol in PDFs.
- PDF Document Properties
    - The system doesn't set the Show option in the Initial Tab of the PDF properties to Document Title, leading to incorrect title behavior in PDF viewers.
- Omniscripts
    - In client-side document generation, if the document preview takes longer than three minutes to load, and the attachFileFormat and downloadFileFomat document generation options set to only Word, the preview won't display. Instead, you'll be prompted to download the file to view its contents.
- API Access Control
    - Client-side document generation doesn't work for non-admin users when the **For admin-approved users, limit API access to only allowlisted connected apps** setting is enabled. Because the REST API call is made with a session that isn't generated by the connected app, the document generation request fails with an `INVALID_SESSION_ID` error while fetching the `ContentVersion` record. See [Restrict Access to APIs with Connected Apps](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=xcloud.security_api_access_control_all_users.htm&type=5&language=en_US).

- **[Hourly and Daily Org Limits in Omnistudio Document Generation](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=ind.doc_gen_limitations_with_document_generation_two.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5)**
The system applies limits to the number of server-side and client-side documents an org can generate hourly and daily. The hybrid client-side document generation processing is subject to the limits of server-side document generation.

Note The batch document generation processing limit is 2.5k documents per hour for files smaller than 1 MB. Processing larger files in a batch reduces the overall throughput per hour. In sandbox environments, the DocGen throughput limit is 300 documents per hour and 7,200 documents per day per org.
