## Enable Discovery Framework

To start working with Discovery Framework, enable it in Setup.

1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Discovery Framework, and then select **General Settings**.
2. Turn on **Discovery Framework**.

## Turn On Standard Omnistudio Runtime

Discovery Framework is compatible only with Omnistudio standard objects model (Omnistudio Spring ’22 and later).

Each Omnistudio release has a unique link for downloading its managed package, plus Release Notes, installation instructions, and upgrade instructions. For a new installation, your first task is to [Prepare to Install the Omnistudio Package](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=xcloud.os_prepare_to_install_the_omnistudio_package.htm&type=5&language=en_US). For an upgrade, your first task is to [Install or Upgrade the Omnistudio Package](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=xcloud.os_install_or_upgrade_the_omnistudio_package.htm&type=5&language=en_US). After you install or upgrade, make sure that you have disabled Managed Package Runtime and enabled Omnistudio Metadata (for import and export) settings.

1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Omnistudio Settings, and then select **Omnistudio Settings**.
2. Turn off Managed Package Runtime.

## Configure Assessment Question Creation Settings

By default, users create assessment questions and assessment question versions simultaneously. Disable Enhanced Questions to create assessment questions and their versions independently, providing users with greater flexibility in creating assessments.

1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Discovery Framework, and then select **General Settings**.
2. Turn off **Enhanced Questions**.

## Add the Assessment Component to a Lightning Record Page

To make the Assessment component available to users, add it to a Lightning record or app home page.

Note For Dynamic Assessments in Public Sector Solutions, add the Assessment List component to Lightning pages instead. See [Dynamic Assessments Prerequisites](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=ind.psc_dynamic_assessments_prerequisites.htm&type=5&language=en_US).

The Assessment Lightning Web Component can be added to the record pages of Account, Contact, Case, Care Plan Activity, Clinical Service Request, Care Program Site, Program Enrollment, Application Form, and Dispute Item.

1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter App Builder, and then select **Lightning App Builder**.
2. Select **Edit** for a record page.
3. Drag the Assessment component to the page canvas.
4. Edit the tab labels as needed.
5. Select the fields to show on the Assessment card.
6. Save your changes and activate the page.
