# Create a Linear Relationship

Linear relationships provide a simpler and more flexible ordering experience. For example, product admins can set the relationship type to Relies On to create connections between devices and/or add-ons and a plan, allowing sales agents to easily link them.

You can form linear relationships between

- A product and another product/bundle/bundle child product.
- A bundle and another product/bundle/bundle child product.
- A bundle child product and another product/bundle/bundle child product.

A product can have multiple linear relationships - one with another product, one with a bundle, and so on, at once. A product can act as a related product for many products at once. Create a linear relationship between two products by using these steps

1. From the App Launcher, find and select **Product Relationships**.
2. Click **New**.
3. Enter Product Relationship Details

    - Product Relationship Name: Enter a name for the product relationship.
    - Product: Select the source product that relies on a related product.
    - Relationship Type: Set to Relies On.
    - Related Product: Choose the target (related) product.
4. Set Quantity Parameters

    - Max Quantity: Define the maximum quantity of the related product that can be linked.
    - Min Quantity: Set the minimum quantity of the related product, ensuring it’s less than or equal to the maximum quantity.
    - Reverse Min: Enter the minimum quantity of the source product that relies on the target product.
    - Reverse Max: Specify the maximum quantity of the source product that relies on the target product.
5. Save the product relationship.

This step configures a linear relationship between the two products. After you implement the Relies On capability in Industries CPQ, the products are linked in the CPQ Cart quote or order page. See: [Relies On Product Relationships in Industries CPQ](https://developer.salesforce.com/docs/industries/cme/guide/relies_on_capability.html).You can edit or delete the linear relationship anytime by going to Product Relationships in the App Launcher. Use the Actions dropdown list to select Edit or Delete.
