Important

Changes made to Salesforce metadata (such as modifying Salesforce Object fields) can take up to 24 hours to reflect in a context instance.

To clear the runtime schema cache make a DELETE request to the endpoint /connect/context-runtime-schema/clear. The cache is then refreshed during the next context build request.

## Load Context Definitions

Load context definitions for your org.

1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Context Service, and then select **Context Service Settings**.
2. To load the predefined context definitions, turn on the toggle next to Context Definitions.

## View Context Definitions

View all your context definitions on the Context Definitions page.

1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Context Service, and then select **Context Definitions**.
2. On the Standard Definitions and Custom Definitions tabs, view all the context definitions associated with your solution.

## Edit Context Definitions

You can edit an active or an inactive context definition. You can delete only an inactive context definition. When a context definition is active, you can add new instances of the artifacts such as nodes, attributes, and mappings, but you can't edit or delete the existing artifacts.

Important

- For the newly added node or attribute of an exisiting node, make sure that you create a mapping to capture the relevant data input.
- The deletion of a parent node deletes the child nodes associated with it.

1. From Setup, in the Quick Find box, enter Context Service, and then select **Context Definitions**.
2. Edit a context definition.
    - From the action menu, select the definition that you want to edit, click ![Arrow pointing down](https://sf-zdocs-cdn-prod.zoominsoftware.com/tdta-ind-context_service-264-0-0-production-enus/e9dc37f3-cb53-4bc1-be8b-b6873099d0be/context_service/images/context_service_down_arrow_icon.png) , and then select **Edit**.
    - On the Context Definition Details page, click the definition that you want to edit, and then select **Edit**.
3. Make your edits, and then save your changes.
