# User Permissions for Decision Tables

Users in your Salesforce org require specific permissions to create or invoke a decision table.

### Required Editions

              <li>Read permission on.<ul>
                  <li>The object or the custom metadata type that contains the business rules that
                    the decision table must read.</li>

                  <li>The fields that are selected as input and output fields of the decision
                    table.</li>

                </ul>
              </li>

            </ul>
            <p style="margin-bottom:0;">Users who use resources like APIs and invocable actions to invoke decision
              tables also require these permissions.</p>
