Example Here are two KPIs:![Sample KPI definition](https://sf-zdocs-cdn-prod.zoominsoftware.com/tdta-ind-consumer_goods_trade_promo-264-0-0-production-enus/169b0c8b-175d-4639-bf96-610b16824687/consumer_goods_trade_promo/images/referencing_other_kpis_diff_granularity1.png)![Sample KPI definition](https://sf-zdocs-cdn-prod.zoominsoftware.com/tdta-ind-consumer_goods_trade_promo-264-0-0-production-enus/169b0c8b-175d-4639-bf96-610b16824687/consumer_goods_trade_promo/images/referencing_other_kpis_diff_granularity2.png)

Based on this configuration, here’s how the tactic-level volume figures are calculated.

| KPI | Aggregation Level | Total | Week 1 | Week 2 | Week 3 |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Volume | Promotion | 1080 | 190 | 170 | 720 |
| Volume | Tactic 1 | 750 | 100 | 50 | 600 |
| Volume | Product 1 | 500 | 100 | 0 | 400 |
| Volume | Product 2 | 250 | Null | 50 | 200 |
| Volume | Tactic 2 | 330 | 90 | 120 | 120 |
| Volume | Product 1 | 180 | 30 | 90 | 60 |
| Volume | Product 3 | 150 | 60 | 30 | 60 |

Here’s the calculated values of My Example KPI.

| KPI | Aggregation Level | Total | Week 1 | Week 2 | Week 3 |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| My Example | Promotion | 600 | 200 | 200 | 200 |
| My Example | Tactic 1 | 300 | 100 | 100 | 100 |
| My Example | Product 1 | 166.67 | (100/100) × 100 = 100.00 | (0/50) × 100 = 0.00 | (400/600) × 100 = 66.67 |
| My Example | Product 2 | 133.33 | 0.00 | (50/50) × 100 = 100.00 | (200/600) × 100 = 33.33 |
| My Example | Tactic 2 | 300 | 100 | 100 | 100 |
| My Example | Product 1 | 158.33 | (30/90) × 100 = 33.33 | (90/120) × 100 = 75.00 | (60/120) × 100 = 50.00 |
| My Example | Product 3 | 141.67 | (60/90) × 100 = 66.67 | (30/120) × 100 = 25.00 | (60/120) × 100 = 50.00 |
