# Update Lifecycle Status

This job populates the `LifecycleStatus__c` field in versioned entities (Product2, ObjectType, and Picklist).

Lifecycle Status field shows all active picklist-only values for `LifecycleStatus__c` for a versioned entity. The Amendment Pending status is a transient state during the amend process and isn't available in the Lifecycle Status list of states.

When the `LifeycleStatus__c` of a record isn't set to Released, this job sets the new value to what is passed in to the **LifecycleStatus** parameter. When the `LifecycleStatus__c` field of a record is Released, this job doesn't update the field.
