Enterprise Sales Management components are readily available to you as static resources in your Salesforce org that has Salesforce Industries Communications, Media, and Energy Summer '23 or later installed.
This feature is part of the Communications Cloud managed package.
Deployment Summary
The components for Enterprise Sales Management come packaged in zip files stored in the static resources section of your Salesforce org.
However, these components aren't ready to use until you download the zip files, extract them, and then deploy the extracted components to the correct locations in your Salesforce org. You will use a desktop tool called IDX Workbench to perform the deployment.
After you've deployed the Enterprise Sales Management components, there are a number of follow up tasks to complete such as assigning permissions. running maintenance jobs, activating Omnistudio components, and other tasks.
For best results, you need the appropriate team in charge of this process. Assign the deployment tasks to system administrators, developers, or Salesforce consulting partners who are comfortable with:
-
Connecting a desktop application to Salesforce (IDX Workbench in this case).
-
Migrating Salesforce components with IDX Workbench.
-
Troubleshooting component deployment errors.
-
Communications, Media, and Energy & Utilities managed package administration.
-
OmniStudio administration.
-
Experience Cloud administration and digital experiences builder.
Complete deployment often requires additional set up and testing before you're ready to launch your telcom sales program. Salesforce recommends that you plan ample time for testing, iteration, and troubleshooting before your go-live.
