Subscribers can buy add-ons, top up their subscription, or activate and deactivate services only if their account status is active and the corresponding SIM card is not suspended. Other subscriber requests could be subject to other preconditions or rules, which could vary depending on the use case and your business processes.
This feature is part of the Communications Cloud managed package.
The eligibility framework allows you to specify and use a complex set of rules to ensure that a requested change is valid. The rules applied by the eligibility framework can be easily customized for different workflows and operations.
- About the Eligibility Framework (Managed Package)
The eligibility framework allows you to specify and control the set of conditions or rules that must be met in order for a requested update to be permitted. Changes to the eligibility conditions or rules can be made without having to update any of the OmniScripts or Integration Procedures used in the workflows. - Where Is the Eligibility Framework Used? (Managed Package)
When your Multiplay Subscription Management org is created, the eligibility framework is set up and used by default. In Multiplay Subscription Management, the following workflows call the eligibility framework Integration Procedure. In almost all these workflows, the eligibility framework is called twice. First, an initial check is performed to verify the account status and the user's role. Next, service eligibility checks or cross order checks are performed to verify if the requested action can be carried out. - Eligibility Framework Components (Managed Package)
The eligibility framework is implemented using an Integration Procedure, Apex classes, and a calculation matrix. Based on a given input, the eligibiilty framework returns a rule, which is a set of Integration Procedures that must be called to determine the eligibility for the given input. - Customize the Eligibility Framework (Managed Package)
As your business processes change and evolve, the checks that you need to perform to validate if an action should be allowed might also change. The eligibility framework allows you to update the checks performed for any workflow, without having to update the core components used in the workflow.
