Create Final Orders in Enterprise Sales Management (Managed Package)

When you've finalized your enterprise quote or enterprise order and don't expect further modifications, you can create final orders from Enterprise Sales Management. A primary order and all the associated sub-orders are created.

Wait for all approvals to be completed before you create final orders. The approval process isn't integrated in Enterprise Sales Management, so you must handle that separately using standard Salesforce functionality. After you receive approvals, remember not to modify the enterprise quote or enterprise order any further. Since Enterprise Sales Management doesn't manage the approval process, it doesn't prevent you from updating a enterprise quote or enterprise order even after you've received approvals.

To create final orders from an enterprise quote or enterprise order:

  1. On the enterprise quote page, go to the quote summary.
Or, on the enterprise order page, go to the order summary.
  2. Ensure that the enterprise quote or enterprise order is ready for submission and requires no further modifications.
  3. Click Create Final Orders.

When you click Create Final Orders:

  • The principal order and the sub-orders are created, and the order page is displayed.

  • Industries CPQ transforms the enterprise quote to a principal order and sub-orders for each quote member. Sub-orders are associated with the principal order ID. When you view the order, you can see the associated sub-orders as well.

  • The system automatically generates multiple sub-orders simultaneously in batches, if you've enabled batch creation of sub-orders in the CPQ Configuration Setup.
  • If the enterprise quote includes products that are not associated with any groups or quote members, one sub-order is created for the business account.

  • Service accounts are also created for each member, if they didn't already exist.

Note
Note Creating an order is an asynchronous process and the time of its completion depends on the number of sub-orders. If you click Create Order multiple times, the new sub-orders are appended to the existing sub-order list.

Define Field Mappings for Service Accounts

Service accounts are also created for each member, if they didn't already exist. You can then create field mappings for service accounts.

  1. In the App Launcher, search for Omni, and click OmniStudio.
  2. Go to the Integration Procedure tab.
  3. For quote members, search for b2bExpress, and click the latest version of b2bExpress/SubOrders.
  4. For order members, search for ESM, and click the latest version of ESM/CreateSubOrders.
  5. Click Create Version to create a new version of the integration procedure.
  6. Click the QuoteMemberToServiceAccount element in b2bExpress/SubOrders.
Or, click the MemberToServiceAccount element in ESM/CreateSubOrders.
  7. Enter the field name from Quote Member or Order Member as Element Name and field name from Account as Value.
  8. Activate the integration procedure.
    Note
    Note

This mapping is used to detect duplicates. If a service account already exists with the same field values, then it is detected.
