# Configure Pricing Designer Spring '22 and Winter '23 (Install)

This topic contains configuration steps for the Salesforce Industries Pricing Designer. Salesforce Industries Pricing Designer is the next-generation pricing administration application. It provides a unified user experience with improved efficiency and agility to create and maintain product pricing, promotions, and associated rules, giving both business and IT users access to the pricing management capabilities they need.

For Spring '22 and later releases, the following configuration steps are automated:

- Set up the Product Designer Lightning App.
- Set up the Lightning record pages for all related objects.
- Assign page layouts for all objects except for Pricing Plan Step, Pricing Variable, and Pricing Variable Binding.
- Set up the Compact Layout (Highlights Panel) for related objects.
- Remove actions from Page Layout.
- Assign the **Default Price List** field to **Catalog Layout (Vlocity)** page layout.
- Assign Implementation Name and Method Name columns to the Pricing Plan table.
- Assign **New Promotion** and **New Discount** buttons to the list view for the Promotion object.

Perform the following steps to ensure the Pricing Designer displays the correct page layouts and compact layouts.

1. Assign a Page Layout to the profile and record type:

    - Click Setup.
    - Click Object Manager.
    - In the **Quick Find** box, search for the **Pricing Plan** object.
    - Click Page Layouts.
    - Click the Page Layout Assignments button in the upper right corner.
    - Click Edit Assignment.
    - Select System Administrator.
    - Go back to the top and set **Page Layout To Use** to Vlocity EPC Pricing Plan Layout.
    - Click Save.
    - Repeat the previous steps, but instead of using the Pricing Plan object, repeat the steps to assign Lightning Record pages for these remaining objects:

        <table class="slds-table slds-table_bordered slds-max-medium-table_stacked slds-m-bottom_small ">
                <colgroup>
                  <col>
                  <col>
                  <col>
                </colgroup>
                <thead class="slds-text-title_caps ">
                  <tr class="">
