# Assign Permissions to ESM Runtime Persona

To create a user with a service agent persona, you must assign the required permissions set licenses, managed permission sets, and object-level permissions as recommended in the sample permission sets.

For the ESM Runtime persona, verify if the following component access is assigned to the user:

1. Grant the user access to Vlocity Document Template:
    1. Switch to Classic View.
    2. Click the **+** on the tab bar.
    3. Search for Libraries and click **Libraries**.
    4. Under My Libraries, click **Vlocity Document Template**.
    5. Click **Add Members**.
    6. Search for the user and add the user.
    7. Click **Next**.
    8. Grant the **Viewer** permission.
    9. Click **Save**.
2. Assign the OmniStudio User and Communications Cloud Plus Runtime permission sets to the user.
