Groups are useful when you have a large number of locations who need the same products. Create a group of locations and apply the same configurations to an entire set without applying the offer to each location individually. This streamlines the process when multiple locations need the same configuration, improving the scalability and performance of quote line items or order line items.

For example, a sales rep at Global Corp received a request from a customer to add the same internet package to multiple locations. The sales rep creates a group for the recipients and configures the same product to the entire recipients of the group without cloning the product for each recipient individually.
Add Locations to Group
Organize locations into groups to apply the same configuration. Add locations to an existing group or create a group to add them. Additionally, add the same location to multiple groups. Add locations to a group either from the Location tab on a quote record page, or from the Location step in a guided journey.
- Select the locations, and click Manage Group.
- To add the locations to an existing group, select Add to an existing group, and select the group from the Group Name. To create a group and add the locations, select Create group, and enter the group name.
-
Save your changes.
The locations are now added to the group.
Create an Empty Recipient Group
Sales reps can create recipient groups without adding recipients. They can also configure and apply an offer to the empty recipient group, without cloning the offer for each recipient.
For example, when a company expands and opens a new branch, such as in the United Kingdom, a common task is to secure mobile plans for employees. Due to GDPR requirements, employee names can't be provided. Instead, the company provides a list with the quantities of employees per role. Then sales reps create groups for every role and quote specific plans for their needs.
- On the Locations tab, click Manage Group.
- Select Create Group.
- Enter the recipient group name for the group name.
-
Enter the expected number of recipients in a group for group recipient quantity.
Note The value of Group Recipient Quantity must be within the range of 1 and 800. -
Save your changes.
An empty recipient group is created with an expected number of recipients, called Group Recipient Quantity. Sales reps then add actual recipients to this group. The number of recipients actually added is known as the Recipient Count.
-
Update the recipient quantity of an empty group.
- On the quote or order record page, click the Locations tab.
- Go to View, and click your group name in the View by Group section.
-
Click
, and then select Edit Recipient Quantity.
