# Maintain the Prices of Assets by Disabling Repricing

In Winter '22 and later releases, you can disable the repricing of assets to maintain the existing prices of assets. When you disable repricing, the prices of assets are maintained based on the prices defined in the product catalog. This setting also ensures that the eligibility of promotions attached to the assets is not re-evaluated. This allows you to continue using expired or disqualified promotions for such assets.

Note that when you enable this setting, if you add an asset to an order or a quote, CPQ doesn't update the price of the asset. However, if you change the configuration of the asset, say by adding or removing child options or changing field or attribute values, the asset is repriced.

To maintain the prices of assets and disable the repricing feature of CPQ, update the Default Pricing Plan in the Vlocity Product Designer.

1. From the App Launcher, find and select **Vlocity Product Console**.
2. Click the search icon next to **Pricing Plan**.
3. Search for Default Pricing Plan.
4. Edit the Default Pricing Plan.
5. Click Pricing Plan Steps.
6. Click **Initialize Pricing Context**.
7. Update the Parameters field to maintain asset prices.

8. Click **Save**.

    Note Make sure to populate the PricingLogData for assets in order to retain their prices.

CPQ maintains the prices of assets and doesn't reprice assets based on promotions.
