<table class="slds-table slds-table_bordered slds-max-medium-table_stacked slds-m-bottom_small edition"><colgroup><col></colgroup><tbody><tr class=""><td class="slds-cell-wrap" style="vertical-align:top;">Available in: Lightning Experience</td></tr><tr class=""><td class="slds-cell-wrap" style="vertical-align:top;">Available in: <strong>Enterprise</strong>, <strong>Unlimited</strong>, and <strong>Developer</strong> Editions</td></tr></tbody></table>

Standard user permissions that grant the ability to manage Vlocity Cards and customize application settings are required. No new or feature-specific user permissions are needed to enable this configuration.

For attributes without "has rules" set to true, the Update button isn't shown because such updates don't need rule verification, and for attributes with "has rules" set to true, the Update button is enabled. Sales reps can then click Sync to refresh and reflect an updated cart.

Note

The default configuration of the cart in Classic journey shows a Sync button. To hide the Sync button, set the value of the `isShowSyncWorkingCartButton` layout session variable to false in the b2bSampleApp card. The default configuration of the cart in Guided journey doesn't show the Sync button. To show the Sync button, set the value of the `isShowSyncWorkingCartButton` layout session variable to true in the ESM\_GuidedGetConfigData integration procedure.

1. From the App Launcher, find and select **Vlocity Cards**.
2. In the Layouts and Cards section, click **b2bSampleAppCard**.
3. For the isRapidAttributUpdateEnabled session variable, enter true as the value.

When attributes don't have `hasRule` set to true, these are the APIs called.

    `getCarts` also runs outside Sync.

    - Add Product To Quote - Always runs for validation so blocking errors surface before the line is committed.
    - Any attribute change - Runs only if the cart already had an error, so that error can clear or update after the edit.
4. Configure the appropriate attribute rules for your products.

For more information about configuring a specific type of rule, such as context rules, see [Create and Enable Context Rules for Products on Quote Members in Enterprise Sales Management](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=ind.comms_create_and_enable_context_rules_for_products_on_quote_members_in_enterprise_sales_management.htm&type=5&language=en_US).

## How Sync Cart Works

Most product attribute changes in the working cart refresh pricing and rules automatically. When automatic refresh doesn't run, Sync Cart recalculates prices, applies product rules, and checks for errors. Use Sync Cart only when you need it, especially on large carts with many bundles or attributes.

When you click **Sync Cart**, a full cart refresh updates the working cart.

- Recalculates prices based on recent attribute changes.
- Applies product rules and adds or removes cart items as needed.
- Checks for configuration and pricing errors.

If errors remain, updated error messages appear. You can't add the cart to a quote or location until you fix the errors.
