The Generate EPC Compile Data job caches the product information, such as product structure, cardinality, rules, attributes, and pricing. Compiled Data is a snapshot of the cacheable definitions as of when the job was invoked.

Where to run this job	On the Vlocity CMT Administration page, click EPC Jobs. On the EPC Jobs page, click Start next to GENERATE EPC COMPILE DATA. Apply filters to products and generate compile data for products, promotions, rules, pricing, and more. Click Start.

When not to run this job	When product data isn’t ready to be cached.
When to run this job	The cached data is necessary for the Standard Cart-Based APIs to function correctly. After you complete your product configuration. After you run the PRODUCT HIERARCHY MAINTENANCE, CLEAR MANAGED PLATFORM CACHE, and FIELD MAPS MAINTENANCE jobs. Before using the Standard Cart-Based APIs.

Note If any of the compile jobs fail, the subsequent jobs will still run in sequence, even if they depend on the previous jobs. This is because the subsequent jobs do not know the status of the previous job. As a result, the last Compile Price job may fail with either the Attempt to dereference a null object or the No Active snapshot found error.
