# Enable Custom Settings

There are several custom settings that Order Management can't enable during an upgrade. You must enable these settings yourself.

1. Click the **Setup** button at the top right of your org. If you're already in Setup, then you can skip this step.

![An image of the Setup button.](https://sf-zdocs-cdn-prod.zoominsoftware.com/tdta-ind-order_management-264-0-0-production-enus/c2040b01-aade-4ba7-8a7d-d7cd745d5c8c/order_management/images/om-setup_btn_setup_sel.png)
2. In the Quick Find box, type Custom Settings, then click **Custom Settings**.
3. Find **XOMSetup**, and click the **Manage** link next to it. If you don't see XOMSetup, then click the **X** from among the letters at the top of the screen to filter out most of the options.

![The Custom Settings screen, with arrows pointing to the X navigation aid and the XOMSetup list item.](https://sf-zdocs-cdn-prod.zoominsoftware.com/tdta-ind-order_management-264-0-0-production-enus/c2040b01-aade-4ba7-8a7d-d7cd745d5c8c/order_management/images/ompl_xom_setup.png)
4. In the list, look for the item called `OrchFutureDatedItemsJobsEnabled`. Do one of the following things, depending on whether that item appears in the list:

    - If `OrchFutureDatedItemsJobsEnabled` is in the list, then click the **Edit** link to the left of it and move on to the next step.

![The Custom Settings list, with OrchFutureDateItemsJobsEnabled highlighted.](https://sf-zdocs-cdn-prod.zoominsoftware.com/tdta-ind-order_management-264-0-0-production-enus/c2040b01-aade-4ba7-8a7d-d7cd745d5c8c/order_management/images/om_future_cust_settings.png)
    - If `OrchFutureDatedItemsJobsEnabled` is NOT in the list, then click the **New** button at the top of the list and move on to the next step.

![The XOMSetup page, with the New button highlighted.](https://sf-zdocs-cdn-prod.zoominsoftware.com/tdta-ind-order_management-264-0-0-production-enus/c2040b01-aade-4ba7-8a7d-d7cd745d5c8c/order_management/images/om_new_xomsetup_btn.png)
5. Enter the following information in the fields:

    - In both the **Name** and **Key** fields, type or paste `OrchFutureDatedItemsJobsEnabled`
    - In the **Value** field, type or paste `true`

![The XOMSetup window, with the fields filled out.](https://sf-zdocs-cdn-prod.zoominsoftware.com/tdta-ind-order_management-264-0-0-production-enus/c2040b01-aade-4ba7-8a7d-d7cd745d5c8c/order_management/images/om_enable_orch_future_cust_settings.png)
6. Click **Save**, then if the list of settings doesn't appear, click **Back to List**.
7. Do one of the following things, then use your browser's **Back** button to come back to this page to continue with the steps on this page.

    - If you're upgrading the managed package from version 109.1 (Winter 2021) or later: delete the **OMStdBundleActivationBackCompatibility** bundle from the Custom Settings (if it exists), then move on to the next section. See [Upgrading OM: Activate or Delete OMStdBundleActivationBackCompatibility](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=ind.comms_t_upgrading_omactivate_or_delete_omstdbundleactivationbackcompatibility_240804.htm&release=264.0.0&type=5 "Depending on which release you've upgraded from, you must either activate or delete this bundle from the Custom Settings. If you've been directed to this page, then follow the appropriate instructions. Otherwise, you can ignore this page.")
    - If you're upgrading the managed package from any version earlier than 109.1 (Winter 2021): Activate the **OMStdBundleActivationBackCompatibility** bundle in Custom Settings.
