# Create a Price Book

Every price list must be associated with a price book in Salesforce. You can associate multiple price lists with the same price book. If you don't have a price book to use, you must create one.

1. Click the **Price Books** tab. If the tab is not displayed, click the **All Tabs** plus icon and click the **Price Books** link.
2. Click the **New** button.
3. Enter a unique name for the price book.
4. For example, Standard Price Book.
5. Select the **Active** checkbox.
6. Click **Save**.
