# Confirming System and Salesforce Requirements

Before you can install or upgrade Salesforce Industries Communications, Media, and Energy (CME), you must ensure that your web browser and Salesforce version meet at least these minimum requirements.

To confirm system and Salesforce requirements:

- Ensure that your browser works with CME.

CME uses the same browser requirements as Salesforce, for both Salesforce Classic and Lightning Experience. See [Supported Browsers](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=sf.getstart_browser_overview.htm&language=en_US) in the Salesforce Help.

We recommend that you don't use Microsoft Internet Explorer.
- Your system has a minimum of 4 GB of RAM.
- You have Salesforce licenses for all users who need access to CME.

All customers who install the Salesforce Industries Communications, Media, and Energy package must have two full Salesforce licenses for adequate cached data storage in the org. The package includes custom settings that use 1.1 MB. For more information, see [Custom Settings Limits and Considerations](https://help.salesforce.com/s/articleView?id=platform.cs_limits.htm&type=5&language=en_US) in the Salesforce Help.
- You have a valid subscription to Salesforce Customer Community, Salesforce Customer Community Plus, or Salesforce Partner Community. (Required to use CME Community.)
- You have a minimum 10 MB Platform Cache Partition configured in Salesforce. This amount is needed for upgrades, but not for installation.

Vlocity Insurance/Vlocity Health uses the Platform Cache Partition to store its RatingsCache.
- Allocate at least 2 MB for metadata in the org metadata cache for all production and testing orgs.

Ensure your Salesforce Edition is **Enterprise**, **Unlimited**, or **Performance**.

1. Click Setup.
2. In the Quick Find box, enter Company Info.
3. Click **Company Information**.
4. Look at the value in the Organization Edition field.
