# Configuration Setup for Enhanced Compile Cart

Configurable chunk sizes help you tune performance for large datasets. This setting balances the number of records per transaction against memory consumption. By optimizing the balance, you reduce the total number of asynchronous jobs and shorten the overall execution time.

Before initiating the process, enable the Standard CPQ Feature and provide valid Price List IDs to define the job's scope. Configure the NumberOfProductBundleProcessPerJob parameter to establish the minimum baseline for all chunking operations.

1. Go to the CPQ Configuration Setup under **Vlocity CMT Administration**.
2. Create or update a record with this information.
    1. Name: EnableEnhancedCompileCachingMode
    2. SetupValue\_\_c: True
3. Optional Step: Set the chunk size configuration.

    The system uses default chunk sizes optimized for most use cases. It only overrides the settings with a custom JSON configuration if a specific step triggers a Governor Limit error. Prefer the default configuration as an alternate.

    Create a CPQ Configuration Setup record:

    1. Name: EnhancedCompileCachingChunkingSize
    2. SetupValue\_\_c: JSON
4. See the JSON script for configuration parameters:

    ```javascript
    {"CompileContextRule": <number>,"CompilePCP":
    <number>,"CompileProductHierarchy": <number>,"CompilePricing":
    <number>,"CompilePriceListToPBERanges":
    <number>,"CompilePromoItems": <number>}
    ```
