# Apply Special Handling to Inflight Order Amend (Managed Package)

To control user access for the Inflight Order Amend feature, which allows users to modify in-progress orders, you need to explicitly add a permission filter to the **Amend Order to Quote** button.

_Standard user permissions that grant the ability to access the Enterprise Sales App and manage quotes are required._

Note The Create Amendment Order button on the Summary page is controlled by the ESMCreateFinalOrder permission.

1. From Setup on the Order record page, click **Edit Page**.
2. On the Order record page layout, click **Amend Order to Quote**.
3. In the Actions list, click the **Amend Order to Quote** action.
4. On Set Action Visibility, click **\+ Add Filter**.
5. Click **Advanced**, then select **Field**.
6. Select **Permissions** > **Custom Permission** > **ESMInflightOrderAmend**, and click **Done**.
7. On Add Filter, click **Done**.
8. On Set Action Visibility, select **All filters are true** for the Show component when section, and click **Done**.
9. Save your changes to the Order record page layout.
